OAuth connection modification via missing nonce validation
Published Dec 12, 2025 · Updated Dec 12, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in Fox Theme Foxtool 2.5.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to establish a Google OAuth connection. The foxtool_login_google() function accepts a forged request without validating a WordPress nonce before updating the OAuth connection. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to follow a malicious link or otherwise submit the request, enabling an unintended integration change but no reported data disclosure or service interruption.
