Payment confirmation forgery via unauthenticated IPN endpoint
Published Nov 22, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in CP Contact Form with PayPal 1.3.56 and earlier allows remote attackers to forge payment confirmations. The cp_contactformpp_ipncheck endpoint accepts arbitrary payment_status, txn_id, and payer_email POST values without authentication, nonce checks, or PayPal IPN signature validation. No account or user interaction is required; a forged request changes a stored submission from unpaid to paid without a PayPal transaction.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
