Authenticated file deletion via unchecked audio_upload path
Published Nov 21, 2025 · Updated Nov 21, 2025
Arbitrary file deletion in Husain Bandook Wala WP Audio Gallery 2.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete server files. The wpag_uploadaudio_callback() AJAX handler passes the user-controlled audio_upload path to unlink() without validating which file it names. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; consequences include site interruption and code execution when critical configuration files are deleted.
