Arbitrary file deletion in WP User Manager 2.9.12 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete server files through profile updates. Profile update handling accepts an array-valued current_user_avatar input through PHP filter_input(), then passes its insufficiently validated path to file deletion. Subscriber-level access and custom avatars are required; the direct impact is file deletion, with site disruption and code execution depending on the targeted file.
