Local code execution via mishandled DNS responses

Out-of-bounds write in IBM CICS TX Standard 11.1 and Advanced 10.1 and 11.1 allows local users to execute arbitrary code. The gethostbyaddr function fails to safely handle DNS return data, allowing the response to write outside its intended memory buffer. A low-privileged local account can reach the faulty lookup path without user interaction, and successful corruption executes code in the affected process.
