File overwrite and deletion via unsafe ZIP extraction
Published Nov 17, 2025 · Updated Nov 17, 2025
Path traversal in lsFusion Platform 6.0 and 6.1 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite or delete server files via ZIP extraction. The server-side MakeUnzipFileAction and EmailReceiver pass archive entries to ZipUtils.unpackFile without restricting filenames or symbolic links to the extraction directory. A valid low-privilege session and a crafted archive are required; successful exploitation can replace or remove files writable by the application server.
