Authenticated SQL injection via unescaped category identifier
Published Nov 17, 2025 · Updated Nov 17, 2025
SQL injection in categories.php in SourceCodester Online Magazine Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to query its database. The endpoint assigns GET parameter c directly to a quoted category_list id predicate without escaping or parameter binding. The demonstrated time-delay oracle confirms blind query control; low-privilege access is required, and resulting access remains bounded by the database account.
