Session hijacking via unsanitized download alias
Published Nov 16, 2025 · Updated Nov 16, 2025
Stored XSS in ProjectSend r1720 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser through a download alias. files-edit.php stores custom_downloads link values without validation, and manage-downloads.php inserts the stored value unescaped into an anchor href and label. Account Manager access is required to plant the alias, and a more privileged user must open Manage Downloads; theft of an administrator session grants administrative control.
