Authenticated XSS via unencoded product name
Published Nov 15, 2025 · Updated Nov 15, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Code Projects Simple Cafe Ordering System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject script via product_name. The /add_to_cart handler accepts a modified product_name POST value and renders it without output encoding, allowing supplied HTML and JavaScript to execute in a viewer's browser. A member account and a victim who renders the affected response are required; exploitation alters browser-rendered content and runs script in that site context.
