CVE-2025-13191Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via soap.cgi stack overflow

Published Nov 15, 2025 · Updated Nov 17, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in soapcgi_main in D-Link DIR-816L 2_06_b09_beta allows remote attackers to corrupt memory through /soap.cgi. Public records identify soapcgi_main as the locus but do not disclose which request field or unsafe copy operation overruns its stack buffer. The CNA assessment requires low privileges, while NVD treats the endpoint as unauthenticated; successful exploitation can crash the service or execute code in the router firmware.
