Arbitrary code execution via writable DLL directory
Published Jun 23, 2026 · Updated Jun 23, 2026
DLL search-path hijacking in ABB Control Builder A and 800xA for Advant Master allows physically proximate attackers to execute code. Online Builder loads DLLs from an application directory whose permissions allow a low-privileged attacker to plant a malicious library for loading. Exploitation requires physical access and user interaction; execution changes system integrity without affecting confidentiality, availability, or functional safety.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
