Contributor-level stored XSS via unsafe block tags
Published Nov 21, 2025 · Updated Nov 21, 2025
Stored XSS in HT Mega Addons for Elementor 3.0.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through Gutenberg blocks. Gutenberg block renderers accept user-controlled HTML tag names without an allowlist, so tag_escape() still permits executable elements; encoded JavaScript bypasses content escaping. Contributor-level access is required to save a crafted block, and the script executes in the context of each user who opens the affected page.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
