Cache reset via missing nonce validation
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Smash Balloon Custom Twitter Feeds 2.2.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to reset the plugin cache. The ctf_clear_cache_admin() function processes a cache-clear request without correctly validating its WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires an administrator with an active session to follow a crafted link or otherwise submit the forged request; the resulting action clears cached feed data.
