Stored XSS via unescaped button color output
Published Mar 26, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Ultimate Blocks 3.2.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the buttonTextColor block parameter. The Call to Action block renderer places buttonTextColor in generated style output without adequate sanitization or escaping, causing saved content to become executable markup. Contributor-level access is required to save the payload; the script runs in the browser of any user who opens the injected page.
