Authenticated post metadata disclosure via missing object authorization
Published Nov 19, 2025 · Updated Nov 19, 2025
Improper authorization in Softaculous SiteSEO – SEO Simplified 1.3.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read post metadata. The resolve_variables() AJAX handler accepts an attacker-selected post_id and resolves custom-field variables without verifying edit permission for that object. The attacker needs siteseo_manage access and legacy storage enabled; WooCommerce metadata can expose customer contact, address, and payment-method data.
