CVE-2025-13058Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Victim-session JavaScript execution via unescaped filenames

Published Nov 12, 2025 · Updated Nov 12, 2025

Stored cross-site scripting in eXtplorer 2.1.15 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via a crafted filename. Filename values are inserted without HTML encoding into copy, move, rename, edit, delete, and view responses, allowing browser interpretation as markup. The attacker needs file-creation or upload rights in a shared directory, and execution occurs when a victim interacts with the file, enabling actions with the victim's eXtplorer permissions.
