Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Nov 19, 2025 · Updated Nov 19, 2025
Stored XSS in Cozmoslabs Profile Builder 3.14.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via wppb-embed. The wppb-embed shortcode accepts user-supplied attributes and renders them without sufficient sanitization and output escaping. Contributor-level access is enough to store script in a page, and the script runs when a visitor opens that page.
