CVE-2025-13044

Arbitrary file overwrite via predictable temporary names

Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026

Predictable temporary files in IBM Concert 1.0.0 through 2.2.0 allow local users to overwrite arbitrary files through symlink substitution. The temporary-file creation path uses predictable names and does not prevent symbolic-link substitution before writing, redirecting writes to attacker-selected files. Local access is required, and the published impact is arbitrary file overwrite without reported confidentiality loss or service interruption.
