Same-origin policy bypass in Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird allows remote attackers to request notification permission through an embedded frame. RequestPermission treats a same-site, cross-origin iframe as a first-party principal, so it opens a prompt that should be blocked. A user must visit attacker-controlled content and act on the notification prompt; on Android, the prompt can display the top-level site's origin instead of the requesting frame's origin.
