Database disclosure via unvalidated placement sort order
Published Jan 17, 2026 · Updated Jan 17, 2026
SQL injection in Advanced Ads 2.0.15 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with Administrator access to read database data. The placement list table inserts the HTTP order value into its SQL ORDER BY clause without constraining it to valid sort directions or preparing the query. Administrator-level access is required; successful injection appends SQL that reads sensitive WordPress database information, with no reported write or service-interruption impact.
