CVE-2025-12971Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated folder reassignment via missing object authorization

Published Nov 27, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Incorrect authorization in Premio Folders 3.1.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter arbitrary folder assignments. The wcp_change_post_folder AJAX handler accepts an attacker-supplied post_id after a coarse editorial-capability check but fails to verify permission for that specific post. Contributor-level access and a valid folder nonce are sufficient to reorganize another user's content without changing its body or publication status.
