Author-level stored XSS via unsanitized title tag
Published Dec 12, 2025 · Updated Dec 12, 2025
Stored XSS in Magical Posts Display 1.2.54 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the Accordion widget. The widget accepts the mpac_title_tag setting as an HTML tag name without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping, embedding attacker-controlled markup in rendered pages. Author-level WordPress access is required, and the stored script executes in the browser of each user who visits an injected page.
