Unauthorized database access via unvalidated candName query
Published Nov 10, 2025 · Updated Nov 10, 2025
SQL injection in SourceCodester Interview Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to alter database queries through candName. The addCandidate.php handler passes candName directly into an SQL query without sanitization or validation, so crafted POST data changes the statement. The published request requires no login; successful exploitation is bounded by database-account privileges and permits unauthorized data access or changes.
