Improper input validation in Google Chrome for Android before 140.0.7339.80 allows remote attackers to spoof download origins via crafted HTML. The Android downloads UI derives an eTLD+1 from a malformed data URL without first ensuring that the URL has a valid host, causing attacker-controlled text to appear as the download origin. The attack requires user interaction with a download from the crafted page, and the reported consequence is misleading origin display rather than code execution or data modification.
