Contributor-level stored XSS via regex sanitizer bypass
Published Dec 18, 2025 · Updated Dec 18, 2025
Stored XSS in AWSM Innovations Embed Any Document 2.7.10 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into pages. The sanitize_pdf_src function relies on a bypassable regular-expression filter and emits an accepted document source without sufficient output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store a payload, which executes in a visitor's browser whenever the injected page is opened.
