Authenticated file upload via SVG double extensions
Published Nov 11, 2025 · Updated Nov 11, 2025
Arbitrary file upload in Creative Themes Blocksy Companion 2.1.19 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to place files on the server. The SVG upload handler accepts double-extension filenames as valid SVG files, so dangerous content bypasses its file-type sanitization. Author-level WordPress access or higher is required; server-executable uploaded content yields code execution when the hosting stack executes it.
