Unauthenticated Stripe settings overwrite via REST endpoint
Published Dec 12, 2025 · Updated Dec 12, 2025
Missing authorization in Bookit before 2.5.1 allows remote attackers to overwrite Stripe payment options through a public REST endpoint. The /wp-json/bookit/v1/commerce/stripe/return handler accepts attacker-supplied Stripe account data and saves it without an authorization check. No account or user interaction is required, and the demonstrated consequence is replacement of the connected Stripe account and credentials.
