Stored script execution via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Nov 18, 2025 · Updated Nov 18, 2025
Stored XSS in Shaun Scovil CSV to SortTable 4.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via csv shortcode attributes. The csv shortcode handler accepts user-controlled attributes and renders them into generated table markup without sufficient sanitization or context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level access is required to save the shortcode in a post or page, and the stored script executes whenever a user visits that content.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
