Authenticated full settings reset via broad capability check

Published Nov 19, 2025 · Updated Nov 19, 2025

Improper authorization in Softaculous SiteSEO – SEO Simplified 1.3.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to reset all plugin settings. The siteseo_reset_settings function accepts any SiteSEO settings capability instead of requiring authority for a full reset, then restores defaults. An account with access to at least one SiteSEO settings area can erase the entire plugin configuration, with no reported confidentiality or service-interruption impact.
