CVE-2025-12810Network attack vector

Credential reuse via failed rotation check-in

Published Jan 27, 2026 · Updated Jan 27, 2026

Improper authentication in Delinea Secret Server On-Prem 11.8.1, 11.9.6, and 11.9.25 allows remote authenticated users to retain stale credentials. The RPC Password Rotation workflow checks a secret in after exhausting password-change retries even when the change fails, leaving the vault out of sync with the target account. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and a secret configured for change password on check in; the old target password remains active and later use of the vaulted secret is disrupted.
