CVE-2025-12792

TCC permission inheritance via unhardened runtime

Published Nov 18, 2025 · Updated Nov 18, 2025

Code injection in the Canva for Mac desktop app before 1.117.1 allows local users to execute code with Canva's TCC permissions. The Mac App Store build omits the Hardened Runtime signing option, leaving runtime code-injection protections unenforced. Exploitation requires local unprivileged access and user interaction; injected code can access only resources already authorized through Canva's TCC grants.
