Script execution via unvalidated stored report input
Published Jan 7, 2026 · Updated Jan 7, 2026
Stored XSS in Commvault Web Console 11.32 and 11.36 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through crafted report input. Report Builder stores report-creation input in a web page without validation and interprets it as script when an editor later modifies the report. Execution requires report-edit permission and editor interaction; merely running the report as an end user does not execute the payload.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
