Authenticated file upload via pre-validation chunk writes
Published Nov 18, 2025 · Updated Nov 18, 2025
Arbitrary file upload in Nazmul Sabuz WP Dropzone 1.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to write dangerous files to the server. The ajax_upload_handle function writes upload chunks into the WordPress uploads directory before validating their file types. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; code execution requires the web server to execute the uploaded file type.
