CVE-2025-12764Network attack vector

Unauthenticated service interruption via LDAP filter injection

Published Nov 13, 2025 · Updated Nov 13, 2025

LDAP injection in pgAdmin 4 9.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to interrupt service through a crafted login username. In web/pgadmin/authenticate/ldap.py, search_ldap_user inserted the username into an LDAP search filter without escaping metacharacters, so an asterisk expanded the directory search and forced excessive processing. Unauthenticated access to a server-mode login with LDAP enabled is sufficient; the resulting resource exhaustion affects both pgAdmin and its directory server.
