CVE-2025-12760Network attack vector

Authenticated TFA bypass via REST login route

Published Nov 18, 2025 · Updated Nov 18, 2025

Authentication bypass in Drupal Email TFA before 2.0.6 allows remote authenticated users to skip email verification via REST login. The module's access handling covered the standard login form but did not intercept Drupal's user.login.http POST /user/login route, which accepted primary credentials without email-code validation. Valid username and password credentials are required; exploitation bypasses the configured second factor and grants the account's normal access.
