Code execution via crafted JPG heap overflow
Published Apr 15, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Heap-based buffer overflow in Autodesk desktop products allows attackers to execute code by importing a crafted JPG file. Autodesk has not identified the affected image-decoding component or the faulty bounds operation that writes beyond the heap buffer. A user must link or import the file; exploitation runs in the current process and can also read sensitive data or crash it.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=2023 <2023.1.7
- Affected versionversion=2024 <2024.1.7
