Restricted property disclosure via SET error oracle
Published Jan 22, 2026 · Updated Jan 22, 2026
Information disclosure in Neo4j Enterprise Edition before 5.26.17 or 2025.11.2 allows remote authenticated users to infer property values. SET property authorization returns distinguishable error messages for guessed values even when the caller lacks read access to the target property. Legitimate database access and permission to issue the SET operation are required; repeated guesses disclose only whether a restricted value matches.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
