Unauthenticated API-key reset via exposed AJAX action

Published Dec 14, 2025 · Updated Dec 14, 2025

Missing authorization in HelloLeads CRM Form Shortcode 1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to reset the configured CRM API key. The hls_crmf_reset_crm_config WordPress AJAX action accepts a POST request with token set to reset and clears the stored API key without authorization or CSRF validation. No WordPress account or user interaction is required, and the demonstrated consequence is limited to loss of the plugin's CRM configuration.
