CVE-2025-12683

Local service disruption via unrestricted SYSTEM pipe

Published Nov 4, 2025 · Updated Nov 4, 2025

Improper privilege management in voidtools Everything 1.4.1.1029 and earlier allows local users to disrupt the SYSTEM service. The service pipe is created with a NULL DACL, granting every local user full access to the privileged service's GUI communication channel. Low-privileged Windows access is required; service interruption is the direct consequence, while privilege escalation requires an additional chain.
