CVE-2025-1268Network attack vector

Code execution via EMF Recode out-of-bounds write

Published Mar 31, 2025 · Updated Mar 15, 2026

Out-of-bounds write in EMF Recode processing in Canon printer drivers allows remote attackers to execute code via malicious print jobs. EMF Recode processing writes beyond an allocated buffer while handling print data supplied by a malicious application. The application must cause an affected driver to process crafted content; successful exploitation executes code or interrupts printing.
