CVE-2025-12669Network attack vector

Authenticated cross-site scripting via notification emails

Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026

Cross-site scripting in affected GitLab CE/EE releases allows remote authenticated users to inject active content into notification emails. The email-notification rendering path fails to sanitize attacker-controlled input before placing it into HTML messages, allowing HTML and JavaScript markup to reach recipients. Affected ranges are 15.11 before 18.9.7, 18.10 before 18.10.6, and 18.11 before 18.11.3; exploitation requires recipient interaction and affects confidentiality and integrity.
