CVE-2025-12659

Code execution via unvalidated IPT file data

Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026

Heap-based buffer overflow in Siemens Simcenter Femap before 2512.0003 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted IPT files. The IPT parser does not properly validate user-supplied file data, producing a heap memory corruption condition in the current process. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, and successful code runs with the current process privileges.
