Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode completion code
Published Nov 11, 2025 · Updated Nov 11, 2025
Stored XSS in MMDeveloper Preload Current Images 1.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through a shortcode. The preload_progress_bar handler places the complete shortcode attribute into generated JavaScript without sanitizing the value or escaping it for the output context. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload in a page, and the script executes in the browser whenever that page is accessed.
