Administrator directory deletion via unchecked staging path
Published Jun 5, 2026 · Updated Jun 5, 2026
Path traversal in WPvivid — Backup, Migration & Staging 0 through 0.9.128 allows remote authenticated users to delete server directories. delete_cancel_staging_site() recursively removes a caller-controlled path without confirming that it names an allowed staging directory. Administrator-level WordPress access and a valid AJAX nonce are required, and deletion remains limited by the server account's filesystem permissions.
