Unauthenticated JSON file write via open REST endpoint
Published Dec 12, 2025 · Updated Dec 12, 2025
Missing authorization in Hippoo Mobile App for WooCommerce 1.7.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to write JSON files via REST. The save_callback token endpoint assigns __return_true as its permission callback, accepts attacker-controlled JSON, and writes it into the public uploads directory. No authentication or user interaction is required; the consequence is limited to attacker-chosen JSON content in a publicly reachable location, with no reported code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
