Author-level media replacement via missing object authorization
Published Jan 8, 2026 · Updated Jan 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Premio Folders 3.1.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to replace arbitrary WordPress media files. The handle_folders_file_upload() handler processes a media-replacement request without checking that the caller may modify the targeted attachment. Author-level access is sufficient, and exploitation overwrites an existing Media Library file, changing its content wherever WordPress uses it.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
