Authenticated option disclosure via unchecked AJAX handler
Published Dec 2, 2025 · Updated Dec 2, 2025
Option disclosure in Upload.am – File Hosting & VPN before 1.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary WordPress site options. The upload_am_get_option AJAX handler accepts an attacker-controlled option_name value and returns the corresponding option after nonce validation without checking the caller's capability. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and the disclosed option can contain sensitive site configuration such as mail server credentials.
