CVE-2025-12615Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Signed-data forgery via hard-coded Django key

Published Nov 3, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Hard-coded cryptographic key use in PHPGurukul News Portal Project 1.0 allows remote attackers to forge application-signed data. newsportal/onps/onps/settings.py assigns a fixed, source-exposed value to Django's SECRET_KEY instead of loading a deployment-specific secret. Exploitation requires access to the published key and a deployment that retains it; signed-cookie sessions or other key-backed paths can then accept forged data.
