CVE-2025-1260Network attack vector

Unauthorized switch changes via gNOI authorization bypass

Published Mar 4, 2025 · Updated Mar 4, 2025

Improper access control in affected Arista EOS releases allows remote authenticated users to apply switch changes through gNOI Set RPCs. The OpenConfig gNOI server executes Set RPCs that its authorization policy should reject, permitting unauthorized state-changing operations. High-privilege access and OpenConfig with a gNOI server are required; successful requests can alter configuration or invoke switch operations.
