Authenticated code execution via unchecked photo upload
Published Nov 2, 2025 · Updated Nov 2, 2025
Unrestricted upload in Simple Online Hotel Reservation System 2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through a room photo. edit_query_room.php passes the photo temporary path and client-supplied filename directly to move_uploaded_file() under ../photo/ without server-side type or content validation. Administrative access to the room-editing function is required, and an uploaded PHP web shell executes with the web server privileges.
